I am a nursing student at the University of New England, and am passionate about serving a broad range of populations, particularly pediatric and geriatric patients. My work as both a CNA at a nursing home for individuals with dementia and an assistant teacher at a preschool has solidified and deepened my commitment to these groups, and I look forward to using my nursing education to continue serving those in my community. In addition to healthcare, I enjoy sustainable agriculture (I spent a summer interning on an organic vegetable, herb, and flower farm), gardening, and writing. Distance running is also a large part of my life, and I am dedicated to pursuing mountain and ultramarathon racing at an elite level. Finally, my identity as a Christian is the foundation of who I am and what I do. I view every part of my life – my education, work, and other pursuits – as a service to God, and I hope to magnify Christ through my actions and values as both a nurse and a person.
